Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 November 2026

In short: Climbeat has no accounts, no sign-in and no servers of its own. Your progress, gold and settings are saved only on your device. We do not collect, sell or share personal information. Ads come from Google AdMob and are always requested as child-directed, non-personalised and rated G. Purchases are handled by Apple, and we never see your payment details.

This policy explains how the Climbeat game for iPhone (“the app”) and this website handle information. Both are made by an independent developer (“we”, “us”). Climbeat is made with children in mind and is meant to be enjoyed by kids aged 6 to 15, their parents and adults.

Information saved on your device

The app saves the following in its own storage on your device, so you can carry on where you left off:

This information is not sent to us or to anyone else. It contains no name, email address, photo or other contact details. If your device is backed up to iCloud or a computer, Apple's backup may include the app's data, under Apple's privacy policy. You can delete it at any time: delete the app, or open Settings → Parents → Reset progress in the game.

Information we collect

We do not collect personal information through the app. Climbeat has no accounts, no sign-in, no chat, no friend lists and no user profiles that others can see. We do not run our own servers for the app, and we do not use analytics, tracking or crash-reporting tools of our own. The app works offline.

The app does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, contacts or location.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Climbeat is free and shows ads from Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Ads never play during a song. They appear only at these points:

Because many of our players are children, we treat everyone who plays Climbeat as a child for advertising. Every ad request:

The app never asks for permission to track you (Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt), so iOS does not share your device's advertising identifier with the app or with Google. To show an ad, limit how often it appears, measure it and prevent fraud, Google may process limited technical information such as your IP address, device type and operating system, app version, and whether the ad was shown or tapped. Google handles this information under its own policies:

In-app purchases (Apple)

You can buy optional gold packs and a one-time No Ads purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using your Apple Account. We never receive your name, email address, card number or other payment details. Apple tells the app only which item was bought and a transaction ID, so the app can deliver it. Before any purchase, the app asks a question meant for grown-ups (a multiplication). Apple's handling of your information is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Information Apple shares with us

Apple gives developers summary reports about downloads, sales and app usage through App Store Connect. If you have chosen in your device settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple may also send us crash reports and usage statistics. These reports do not tell us who you are, and we use them only to fix problems and improve the game.

When you email us

If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and whatever you write. We use it only to answer you, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we delete it on request. Please do not send personal information about a child. If you are a child, ask a parent to write to us.

Children's privacy

Climbeat is designed to be safe for children:

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States, and we follow the principles of the GDPR and the UK Age Appropriate Design Code for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information (for example in an email), contact us and we will delete it. Because the app keeps nothing about your child on our side, you can review or delete your child's game data at any time on the device itself, as described above.

This website

climbeatgame.com is a simple static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and it loads no third-party fonts or content. Like any website host, our hosting provider (Netlify) may process technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs to deliver the pages and protect against abuse.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and US state privacy laws give you rights to access, correct, delete or object to the use of your personal information. Since we hold almost no information about you, most requests can be met on your own device. For anything else, email us and we will reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. We do not sell or share personal information.

Where information is processed

Google and Apple may process the information described above in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards. We do not transfer personal information ourselves.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles information, for example by adding a new service, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect. Important changes will also be noted in the app's update notes.
